![]() On the HSL panel, the Hue slider can change how specific colors look. This describes why an object that is a solid color appears different depending on the amount of light that hits it. On a technical term, the hue is the wavelength of the light reflected. Each slider is divided by colors: red, orange, yellow, green, aqua, blue, purple, and magenta. I like to say that this is the panel that adjusts each of the colors individually. HSL stands for “ Hue, Saturation, and Luminance, ” and is a panel box in Adobe Lightroom (with similar panels in other programs). Conveniently, this is one of the first open panels in Lightroom. The HSL panel is the first panel I go to when I want to create a summer vibe in my photographs.
